New motto at the kulmbach prom: self-service

new motto at the kulmbach prom: self-service

The blue note contains quite explosive content. With it the dance school barbic addresses the participants of the graduation ball of the two kulmbach high schools next saturday evening in the city hall. There is talk of an unscheduled novelty. "Due to the current lease situation in the stadthalle, this year is unfortunately the first time in 25 years that there will NOT be service by waiters at the tables." The guests will have to get their drinks at two dispensing points in the foyer of the hall.

But not only that. There was also talk of no food being offered in the evenings for the schools and their chaperones. "This is the current status. Otherwise there were always five smaller dishes such as salad, a pasta dish, a small meat dish and dessert. That is also sufficient."

Climbing center with olympic dimensions

Climbing center with olympic dimensions

The city and district savings bank erlangen-hochstadt-herzogenaurach has taken over the naming rights for the new climbing and club center of the german alpine association (DAV) in erlangen, which will become the savings bank mountain world. Sparkasse erlangen is not only a long-standing partner of the DAV, but also the main financing partner for the construction project. In a press conference on tuesday the new name and the new logo of the new climbing center were presented by the savings bank and the german alpine club, which is the largest sports club in erlangen with nearly 10000 members.

Construction begins in september

As project manager torsten hans emphasized, the new climbing and club center, with around 2,000 square meters of climbing space, will be the largest climbing facility in the region and is aimed not only at top and mass athletes, but also at families and climbing enthusiasts. Climbing is currently enjoying great popularity and will even become an olympic discipline in 2020. For the olympic combined competition format, which includes three different disciplines, the new climbing center meets all the requirements so that olympic competitions can also be held there.

Traffic loves good at buchenbacher damm

The new traffic routing on buchenbacher damm has proved its worth, according to a press release from the erlangen city council.
As construction and planning officer josef weber told the environment, traffic and planning committee of the erlangen city council, the flow of traffic has been regularly monitored by experts on site since the end of the school vacations at rush hour. The traffic jams were due to the construction site, but in the meantime there are no more major obstructions.
Further improvements have been achieved by optimizing the traffic light circuits. The construction and planning officer went on to say that the markings and new traffic routing had also been rated as safe by the police. Overall, safety on the road has been significantly improved through improved markings, new crash protection and clear signage.
There are no inconsistencies in the accident statistics. Overall, the new traffic routing has significantly improved the punctuality of the buses. "Punctuality is one of the most important factors in making local transport more attractive for customers and thus an important contribution to relieving the strain on the roads", according to weber.
In the future, it would make sense to continue the bus lane after the freeway crossing in the direction of the city center. But that would have entailed a lot of rough handling and financial hardship. Buchenbacher damm, one of the most congested roads in the city, was extensively renovated last year. A new feature is a separate bus lane in the city center in order to maintain punctuality and timetable stability for the bus network or, for example, to the S-bahn stop paul-gossen-strabe. The lanes for motor traffic were rearranged, as were the crash barriers.

Evi Bauer is the new director of the generation center

Evi bauer is the new director of the generation center

Evi bauer is 35 years young, grew up in herzogenaurach and is very well integrated into the life of the city. Her active work with the town youth band alone has opened up a wide network for her. Since monday, evi bauer is now in the service of the administration of her hometown: she has taken over the management of the generation center.
After a three-month vacancy, the young woman was able to fill an important new position in the city's facilities. For at the end of february, her predecessor thomas lang left herzogenaurach after a good three years and took over as director of the catholic adult education center at feuerstein castle.

Three under one roof

The generation center only came into being in the fall of 2016. After the renovation of the sandstone building in erlanger strabe, the city's former recreation center was seamlessly transferred to the new facility. Since then, the work with children, youth and seniors has been intergenerationally summarized in it. The generation center thus combines three houses under one roof, so to speak.
Mayor german hacker (SPD) was pleased when he was able to introduce the new colleague to the press on monday afternoon. It is definitely an advantage that ms. Bauer comes from herzogenaurach and has an excellent network here. "You don't have to explain anything to her about herzogenaurach", said hacker. The educator, who studied social work at the university in bamberg, has also worked with people before. She had been employed at the office for children, youth and families of the district administration in erlangen since 2009 and had been working in family education there since 2014. Among other things, she came into contact with the generationenzentrum through the baby workshop that exists in the herzogenaurach facility. She had already met her predecessor in 2016 and had exchanged professional views. Without suspecting at that time, however, that she could one day become his successor.

Career wish

Career wish

When I was at an appointment this week, a gentleman said: "if you had learned something good, you didn’t have to be here." Aha. This made me think about professions, vocations and career aspirations. For my father and his friends it was the most important thing to be able to learn a trade.
I remember that my grandmother told me that she had advised my father to learn the profession of tiler, because after the war there were many apartments and houses that got new bathrooms. My father – the best in the world – had been proud of his profession all his life. He preferred to flow diagonally across the floor.
And for me and my siblings, it was practical to have such a hands-on father. When I was at school, however, the career aspirations were different. We had to paint our career aspirations in elementary school. There were pictures of stewardesses, locomotive drivers or veterinarians hanging on the wall. We wanted to go out into the world, help and experience a lot. During our studies we wanted to change the world. Well, then real life struck.
When I with my girlfriend once again in the garden "our" we heard three young ladies at the next table discussing loudly while typing into their smartphones. One girl is planning a career as a "supermodel", while the other wants to become a fashion blogger. The third was unsure of what career she wanted to pursue. She only knew that it was "something with the media" should be. Fortunately, i had reported shortly before about two "A" level high school graduates who want to get involved in social issues and study natural sciences.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all those who want to reach for the stars in their careers that they will succeed.

Lukas Kohl shows perfect cure

Lukas kohl shows perfect cure

Nufringen – for the second time after 2010 the cycling club nufringen hosted the german junior indoor cycling championships. National titles were awarded here in bicycle ball, bicycle polo, artistic cycling and unicycling. One of them was won by lukas kohl from concordia kirchehrenbach.
After the talent from the district of forchheim had already secured his participation in the european championships two weeks ago, he wanted to take the next step in his so far so successful season in nufringen. But the competition in his discipline, the one artistic cycling, is rough. Especially his national team colleagues adam kottmann from penzberg and marcel jungling from dornheim were also hot title contenders.

Highest difficulty
The 17-year-old high school student from ebermannstadt, however, submitted the highest difficulty with 182.90 points and was thus the last to start. The competitors before came through well, but not without falling, so that they did not get over 161.20 points (jungling) and 165.55 points (kottmann).
Actually this meant that kohl only had to drive through well, but he did it perfectly. In the schwabenlandhalle in nufringen, it was quiet as a mouse during his five-minute course of treatment. Lukas kohl showed his program very concentrated and tense. His difficulties like the handstand or the steiger-ruckwarts-series worked perfectly on the difficult floor, so that the very well staffed jury could only make minimal deductions of points.
