Climbing center with olympic dimensions

The city and district savings bank erlangen-hochstadt-herzogenaurach has taken over the naming rights for the new climbing and club center of the german alpine association (DAV) in erlangen, which will become the savings bank mountain world. Sparkasse erlangen is not only a long-standing partner of the DAV, but also the main financing partner for the construction project. In a press conference on tuesday the new name and the new logo of the new climbing center were presented by the savings bank and the german alpine club, which is the largest sports club in erlangen with nearly 10000 members.

Construction begins in september

As project manager torsten hans emphasized, the new climbing and club center, with around 2,000 square meters of climbing space, will be the largest climbing facility in the region and is aimed not only at top and mass athletes, but also at families and climbing enthusiasts. Climbing is currently enjoying great popularity and will even become an olympic discipline in 2020. For the olympic combined competition format, which includes three different disciplines, the new climbing center meets all the requirements so that olympic competitions can also be held there.

Bells of the herzogenaurach church in st. Magdalena are dismantled

The towering crane jib naturally attracted a number of observers to the church square and the process was captured on numerous cameras. Among them, of course, the city pastor helmut hetzel, who also took a picture with the camera, until the battery went on strike.

When the crane was in place, lifting another stone from the top of the structure and setting down a toolbox at the top of the tower, everything went pretty quickly. The employees of the "bayreuther turmuhren" company pushed the coarse bell onto the scaffolding and a short time later it was already standing on the trailer of the bayreuth company. Also with the second and somewhat smaller bell, it carries the year 1651, there were no problems and it joins the coarse bell a few minutes later.

Why worms love christmas

Why worms love christmas

This time we went on safari. Richard schober, the grand seigneur of the iphofen stout, arrived in a floor-length caftan, tour leader simon roth in a tropical suit, and when, shortly after 7 p.M., three gentlemen started to play their drums covered with animal skins, the motto of the evening was almost palpable: africa with all its exoticism and its secrets.

Even the first number offered a hint of the wild: a "group of skittish young animals," as roth advertised the stucht offspring, performed the dance of the savannah in the lowen and zebra look or in the garb of village women. Emily troll and emily koos from TSV/DJK wiesentheid twirled around the stage as a butterfly and a spider, a young duo that has become german runners-up with its expressive dance.

Those who need help will get it

Those who need help will get it

Those who are asked to pass on millions to those in need quickly come under suspicion of doing so improperly. This is also the opinion of the advisory committee that was supposed to distribute five million euros in immediate aid from michael stoschek and his sister christine volkmann as well as 44,677 euros from burgers for the fire victims as fairly as possible. In order to dispel suspicion and speculation, the committee had invited the press to an interview. "For us, only the need is decisive. And there are gross differences", says second mayor norbert tessmer (SPD). Because he wanted to spread the responsibility for the allocation of the donation money over several shoulders, he had brought independent partners into the advisory group. In addition to norbert tessmer, its members include manfred seemann from brose, frank jakobs from the chamber of commerce and industry, norbert hartz from the coburg charity association, city manager annette kolb and head of the social welfare office peter schubert.
They are all faced with the task of distributing the donated money from a social perspective. 40 tenants and 15 tradesmen are on the list of fire victims. Guidelines and criteria for direct aid were developed together with the main donors. "No two cases are alike. That's why we can't give everyone the same amount of X", explains norbert tessmer. A family with an apartment was entitled to a higher amount than the tenants who occupied only one room.
Financial aid was available to the victims as early as the week after the fire. And not only them. "If necessary, we also provided spiritual support", stresses the second mayor.

In frensdorf, traditional costumes are to be digitally recorded

Birgit jauernig has the most difficult hurdles for the "digital costume recording and research" project probably already taken. What lies ahead now should be manageable. At least that is what district administrator gunther denzler signaled to the upper franconia foundation. Of these, the head of the upper franconian costume advisory service (based in frensdorf) still needs just under 100.000 euro.

Around 200.000 has already been granted by the VW foundation. As the first institution in upper franconia, by the way, and because a great deal is to be achieved with the project: the still existing stock of the old costumes of upper franconia is to be digitally recorded and researched in order to then be available via a special portal to all interested parties and thus also to the lay public.
